Final filming

In this lesson, we finally finished up our filming. In this scene we are using a green screen in which we will be editing in a background to make it look like we are getting our mugshots taken. We will create a background on Photoshop and the media technician will show us what we have to do.

Continuing to edit my digipak....

This screenshot shows me adding the songs to my digipak.

With all of the songs on it.

This is the current state of my digipak(with the exception of Megan's silhouette), and I am quite pleased with the way it looks. My only problem is how bare the CD itself looks, so would like to add some more image to it before I put on the copy right text around the edge.

My digipak at it's current state

This is the most recent screenshot of my digipak. I am in need of a long shot of Megan, so will do her silhouette once the photo has been taken.

At this stage I have added in colour to the inside left panel, and also added in roses taken from our logo. I have also used the same roses on the CD. I have made the silhouettes of Laura and Helen by deleting the background and changing the threshold to black. I then inverted it to make the silhouettes white.

This image simply shows me moving the 'Studded Roses' logo and making it bigger.

Front cover with me on it, but I didn't like how small the 'Studded Roses' logo was, as well as the album title.

This is where I was changing the threshold in order to make me black and white like the other girls.

At this stage, it shows the photo of me before I've changed the contrast.

Filming on 09/12/2011

On the 9th of December we did our photo shoot during our free periods. It went very well and I'm pleased with our collection of photographs we ended up with. We got so many different shots and poses, so it gives me more freedom of how my digipak will look.

After school on Friday we filmed the main part of our video at the car park. This was a huge success and it got done quicker than I thought it would. We filmed each part a few times, from several angles so that we can use one scene for quite a chunk of the song, but keep cutting to different angles so that it's not boring.

Below are some stills from the photo shoot and filming:

Our crime boards

For towards the end of our video, we liked the idea of using crime boards. This would tie in with our theme of being a bit naughty. It also links with the song name - 'Scandalous.' We have made three different versions and will see which will look best. For the 'blank' one, we will write either 'Scandalous' or 'Studded Roses' at the top in red lipstick.

Dates for the final filming

Prop planning/making

In today's lesson myself and Beatrice have been set the task to research the identification boards that prisoners have in mugshots. We are planning on using these in our video, so we need to create our own and tailor them to fit their purpose. From researching on the internet, it seems that they vary slightly. Some state the specific police station, but some only state 'Police' or 'Police Dept.' Also, names always appear, as well as an identification number. We are leaving the name blank, so that we can write on it with lipstick either 'Scandalous' or 'Studded Roses.' I am going to print out four which each have different numbers.

Also, over the weekend, I noticed that Olly Murs features crime boards at the very beginning of his 'dance with me tonight' video. I took a screenshot from Youtube so that I can make reference to it when creating our own crime boards.

EDITING

In this picture it shows where I have edited so far. All I have been doing is putting in the

Progress of my digipak

I took this screenshot to show the progress of my digipak. So far I have only taken photos of myself and laura, so when I have photographed Megan and Helen, it will be my next step to add them in. On my digipak I have researched what appears on the back and have customised what is written so that it is a recent date and applies to the label that my band are signed by.
